Facilitator should enroll in Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy module PRIOR to training session.

  • Click on REVISED BLOOM’S TAXONOMY and follow the steps to enroll in the module

Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy:  Participants complete KWL chart and discuss with their table group/PLT

Three Problems with Early Standards: Table groups should jigsaw the Educational Standards article and discuss key points with the member of their table group/PLT. You may ask table groups to share out with the whole group depending on the size of your staff.

Introducing Dr. Anderson: Have participants complete this reflection activity on the top of the Standards Discussion notes page.  They should share their response with the members of their table group/PLT. (What is the most important thing you want students to learn? Why is this learning so essential to the content?) You may ask table groups to share out with the whole group depending on the size of your staff.

The Purpose of Objectives:

  • Major Differences between Content and Knowledge and view screens 1-3. – Facilitator will click on the green Continue button to move through the screens.  (apx 12 minutes)
  • As participants are watching the video, ask them to take notes on the Types of Knowledge – Participant notes sheet.
  • Have participants compare their notes with others at their table.
  • Use the Types of Knowledge – Facilitator document as needed to fill in gaps within the table groups – whole group discussion
  • View screen 4  (apx 5 min)
  • Reference the Cognitive Process document
  • Refer back to the Standards Discussion notes page. Ask participants to review the World Language standard and place it within the appropriate space on the taxonomy chart.

Participants should discuss their response with others in their table group/PLT. You may ask table groups to share out depending on the size of your staff.

  • Ask participants to rewrite their objective from earlier on the Standards Discussion notes page. (What is the most important thing you want your students to learn?) Participants should use language from the RBT (verb) and consider where this objective would be placed on the RBT chart. Participants will share their response with the members of their table group/PLT and get feedback.

Summary: “What do you observe from your students to know they understood your instruction or activities?” Have participants share their answers with their table/PLT group. You may ask table groups to share out with the whole group depending on the size of your staff.

*Point out the additional Resources available within the module. (These are located within the menu on the right side of the screen.) Transcripts from each slide may also be accessed within the Resources folder.

*You do not need to print/save a “Certificate of Completion.” Attendance should be recorded within your school’s assigned SRN in eSchools for Day Four.
